posted on 21 Nov, 2011
Herdiana Surachman, better known as Herdi, is a Fashion Editor with Men’s Folio Indonesia and also a fashion blogger of www.deluxshionist.blogspot.com . A firm believer that life is an adventure, Herdi left his job in the oil industry to become a Fashion Editor.
A true connector, Herdi spends much time on the internet, visiting thousands of blogs to sieve out valuable content and with friends.
1. What are your aspirations?
I always wanted a job that allows me to travel. Being a fashion editor allows me to do so, for instance, I may be covering an event in Tokyo this evening while traveling to New York City. I hope to become influential in the fashion world.
2. Describe your fashion style.
I’m not stuck on a particular style, sometimes I love simplicity and on others, I feel like donning on fur or a neck chain. It really depends on my mood, but that’s me. I wear what I like to wear as I normally dress up to satiate my fashion appetite. I don’t deny that fashion bloggers are exhibitionists to some extent. What I have done mostly is to combine old with new, designer and mass produced items.
But certainly, it’s all about how you wear good shoes, a good bag or a good shirt combined with your personality and confidence.
3. Which fashion icon inspires you?
I love stylish people. As the fashion scene is always changing and people are always exploring, I get the most influence from fashion street style during Milan or Paris fashion week, but if I have to name icons, I would pick Milan Vukmirovic, Bryan Boy, Taylor Tomasi Hill, and even Tavi Gevinson, as she has met important people in the fashion world because of her blog. She is certainly very inspiring.
4. What do you like about Ronzaro.
It’s all about exclusivity, rich and comfortable fabric, your touch and also your own reflection in it. Here, you are those who decide everything except the fabric! And this saves your times after all, so this is another way to enjoy shopping.
